Martin Odegaard has been speaking to the media recently and his comments are likely to excite Arsenal fans.

The Gunners’ last outing would see them dominate Leicester City, picking up a 2-0 win as they once again knocked Manchester United out of the top-four.

The north Londoners also still have three games in hand on United, with a Champions League spot for 2022/23 very much on the cards for Mikel Arteta and co.

After their win over Leicester, Odegaard has stated that there is clearly something special going on at Arsenal: “There is clearly something special going on here now. You feel it in the whole club.

“We are building something special. It’s a group of players who like each other, and who enjoy playing football together.”

Odegaard also discussed how well the players now know each other: “It’s fun to play on that team here. We are a group that knows each other well. We are getting better and better and the system is getting better and better. It’s flowing very well now. It’s fun to play.

“We understand each other better, and the team works very well. Then it’s easier to look good for me too.”

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal and Odegaard must now turn their attentions towards Liverpool.

The Gunners will face off with Jurgen Klopp’s side at 8:15 pm on Wednesday in a Premier League clash.

The match is one of Arsenal’s games in hand they have on Manchester United, West Ham, Wolves and Chelsea – meaning a win would greatly boost their chances of securing a top-four spot this season.

However, Liverpool are currently the league’s in-form side and will no doubt be a tough nut to crack.
