Footage of Brentford star Ivan Toney aiming something of a needless jibe at the club has begun to turn heads across social media on Sunday.

The video in question comes by way of platform TikTok, with Toney, seated in his car, taking part in a casual interview with a fan.

Things begin altogether harmlessly, as the hitman is questioned on the subjects of cryptocurrency and his current profession.

It is only upon Toney being drawn on where exactly he plies his trade, though, that the 26-year-old, whether intentionally or not, directs something of a dig at his current employers.

‘Nowhere exciting’ the Englishman replied, when asked ‘where do you play?’ by the supporter in question:

This, of course, marks the 2nd occasion in the space of just the last few months on which Toney has blatantly disrespected the club with whom he has made his name as a goalscorer, having previously been recorded exclaiming ‘F**k Brentford’ during a vacation back in January:

Maddison amongst the goals

Despite his latest bizarre actions, Toney was, as expected, in from the off once again on Sunday, leading the line as Brentford made the trip to the King Power Stadium for a Premier League showdown with Leicester City.

The striker, though, was ultimately unable to make a telling impact, as Thomas Frank’s men saw a two-game win streak brought to an end by means of a 2-1 defeat.

Timothy Castagne and James Maddison bagged the hosts’ goals on the day, leaving Brentford stuck in 15th spot in the English top-flight table.
