An insight into Tottenham’s summer transfer window plans has been provided recently.
The 2022 summer window will, of course, be the first of Antonio Conte’s time in charge of Spurs.
As a result, he is no doubt keen to leave a proper mark on the squad with several areas being targeted.
As per The Athletic, the first priority for Tottenham this summer is a left-sided centre-back.
Ben Davies currently occupies that role for the most part and, whilst he has done well under Antonio Conte, the Lilywhites are looking for an upgrade in that position to play alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier.
It is added that the next priority will be two new wing-backs — one on the left, one on the right.
And finally, Tottenham are going to be looking for a back-up to Harry Kane.
Spurs have not had a back-up no.9 since Carlos Vinicius’ loan from Benfica ended at the end of last season and have, in all honesty, never really had a back-up striker to Kane who actually performs on a regular basis when called upon.

Tottenham’s recruitment improving
If the January transfer window was a test run to see how well Conte and Fabio Paratici can work together to bring in players, the summer window should be a good one for Spurs.
The north Londoners brought in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur during January from Juventus.
Both players have slotted seamlessly into Tottenham’s side, with Kulusevski looking particularly impressive.
