Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick’s post-game comments on the back of the club’s meeting with Leicester City on Saturday have given rise to a number of noteworthy talking points.
First up comes the latest on the German’s future.
Rangnick, of course, has long been expected to bring his interim stint in charge of United to a close in the summer, ahead of the instillation of a new permanent manager on the bench at Old Trafford.
Speaking on the back of another disappointing result for the Red Devils on Saturday, Rangnick was therefore unsurprisingly asked for an update on not only his own future, but also the club’s efforts to secure an agreement with another tactician ahead of next season.
The former RB Leipzig chief, however, was keen to keep his cards close to his chest, albeit whilst confirming that the ‘picture is clear’ on the red half of Manchester:

Lingard latest
Later, Rangnick was also drawn on his in-game decisions versus Leicester, specifically when it came to the lack of minutes afforded to Jesse Lingard.
Many of a United persuasion were quick to question exactly why Lingard was not introduced to proceedings late on at Old Trafford, as the hosts went in search of a crucial winner.
Rangnick, though, went on to reveal that his hands were essentially tied, with the English international having been dealing with a bout of illness:
