The partner of Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes has taken to social media this weekend, to reveal her gratitude with a gift received from a member of the club’s fanbase.

For those not aware, Gunners stopper Gabriel opted to turn down a call-up to the Brazilian national team squad last month.

It was later revealed that this had come as a result of his fiancee, Gabrielle Figueiredo, preparing to give birth to the couple’s first child.

Arsenal themselves, in turn, took to the club’s official Twitter account on Saturday, to confirm that their highly-regarded stopper had indeed become father to a baby girl, sending both he and his partner congratulations:

And now, as alluded to above, Gabrielle has unveiled the well wishes of one member of the Gunners faithful, too, posting a photo of a pair of children’s shoes sent to the couple, alongside the caption:

Eagles test

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Gabriel will of course be expected to feature from the off on Monday evening, when Arsenal mark their return to action on the back of the international break.

The Gunners are set to round out the Premier League gameweek with a trip across London in a little over 24 hours’ time, for a derby meeting with club legend Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace.

Anything short of a three-point haul at Selhurst Park could well prove costly for Arteta and co, with Tottenham and Manchester United continuing to breathe down Arsenal’s necks amid a tense battle for a top-4 berth in the English top-flight.
