Photos to have made their way online this afternoon, showcasing ongoings at the training ground of Premier League giants Arsenal, spell altogether positive news for the Gunners ahead of the club’s showdown with Crystal Palace.

This comes amid confirmation that not one, but two members of Mikel Arteta’s squad previously labelled as doubts to feature at Selhurst Park have returned to first-team training.

First up comes Bukayo Saka, forced to depart the English national team setup earlier this week owing to a positive test for Covid-19.

The young attacker, though, appears to have enjoyed a full recovery, having been spotted alongside the rest of Arsenal’s stars at London Colney on Sunday:

Perhaps even more significant, meanwhile, is the 2nd Gunners star to have rejoined the fray at the club’s training ground this afternoon.

The player in question? Aaron Ramsdale.

Shot-stopper Ramsdale was of course forced to sit out Arsenal’s final outing prior to the international break, after picking up a hip injury during the club’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta, in turn, had since hinted that his number 1 remained a major doubt to feature against Palace, too.

But, as revealed in a series of photos across the north Londoners’ social media platforms on Sunday, Ramsdale appears to be back in contention for a starting berth, full of smiles following his return to the fray:

Top-4 hopes in the balance

Arsenal will of course make the trip across London to face Palace and midfield icon Patrick Vieira in the knowledge that any sort of slip-up could prove hugely costly when it comes to the club’s top-4 hopes.

This comes with the Gunners currently occupying the Premier League’s final Champions League-clinching berth, but with capital rivals Tottenham, currently locked in action with Newcastle, hot on their heels.
