The Everton faithful have flooded to social media on Sunday afternoon, to take aim at one member of the club’s playing squad in absolutely ruthless fashion.

Frank Lampard’s troops, of course, are currently locked in action.

Amid the club’s ongoing battle to stave off what would be a shock relegation to the Championship, the Toffees made the trip to the capital, for a Premier League meeting with West Ham United.

As things stand late in the exchanges at the London Stadium, however, the nightmare campaign being endured by the Merseyside club looks set to go from bad to worse.

This comes with West Ham in possession of a 2-1 advantage, after Mason Holgate’s equaliser early in the 2nd-half was swiftly followed by Jarrod Bowen putting the afternoon’s hosts back in front just shy of the hour-mark:

‘Liability’

Any remaining hope of Everton battling their way back into proceedings to level things up for a 2nd time, and potentially secure for themselves a crucial share of the spoils in east London, were then dealt what looks set to prove a fatal blow 25 minutes from time.

This came when Michael Keane, already heavily criticised for his part in Bowen’s go-ahead goal, was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

It should therefore not come as too much of a surprise to hear that, as the final whistle continues to inch closer in the clash, Everton’s supporters have been quick to make their frustrations known.

Taking to social media in their absolute numbers, the Toffees faithful have taken aim at captain Keane in ruthless fashion, with some going as far as to label the former Burnley man the worst defender to ever pull on the club’s colours:
