Bayern Munich boss Julien Nagelsmann has ruled out two signings for Bayern Munich ahead of a summer transfer window in which they are expected to be busy.

The Bavarian side are already in talks with Ajax pair Ryan Gravenberch and Nasser Mazroui as part of a package deal for a summer move, with reports that only a fee remains to be agreed for Gravenberch, as personal terms have not been a problem.

It is still unclear where Mazrouai will play next season, with Barcelona also keen on the Moroccan who will be a free agent in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to the media ahead of Bayern’s clash with Villareal, in which they will come into the tie as overwhelming favourites, Nagelsmann was asked to name his favourite players and identified Kylian Mbappe and Frenkie De Jong as two players that he would love to have in Bavaria.

‘Mbappé is certainly not a bad shout for any team. I also think Frenkie de Jong is a great player’, he told Bulinews. However, he was quick to quell any media frenzy by pointing out that the club simply could not afford the fees around the players.

‘They are both beyond our financial reach’, he went on to note.

Gnabry to leave?

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl about the future of Serge Gnabry, who is out of contract in the summer of 2023 and is yet to sign an extension with the German giants.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have both been credited with an interest in the 26 year old, who is thought to want a pay rise in his new deal to bring him in line with the highest earners in Germany and reflect his status as a key man in Julien Nagelsmann’s squad.

Should he depart, there will likely be no end of suitors keen on his signature, and Bayern will be hard-pressed to find such a talented replacement.
