Tottenham are amongst the clubs eyeing a potential move for Inter Milan and Croatian star, Ivan Perisic.

Perisic, now 33, has been on Inter Milan’s books since 2015. During that time Perisic has scored 50 and assisted 46 in 245 outings for the Nerazzurri.

And, despite his age, Perisic continues to impress for the Italian side, netting five and assisting four in 28 league games from left-wing-back this season.

Perisic was also a key part of Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan team that won the Serie A last term and now it appears the Italian is open to a reunion with the 113-time capped international.

According to journalist Ryan Taylor, Tottenham are one of several clubs from England and Germany waiting to discover whether Perisic, whose current deal expires in the summer, will extend his contract with Inter Milan.

It is added that Spurs are open to exploring a deal on a free transfer, providing the numbers make sense:

Would Perisic fit in at Tottenham?

Despite Perisic edging towards his mid-thirties, he will still likely make a solid addition to Spurs’ side.

As he is a natural left-winger he could provide cover for Heung-min Son, which will likely be needed if Tottenham secure European football next season.

Elsewhere, Perisic would slot seamlessly into Conte’s back-five at Tottenham. And given the Italian has been playing Matt Doherty out of position at left-wing-back up until his recent injury, it seems clear that Conte is keen to improve on the current options he has in that spot.
