Ex-Manchester City star Sergio Aguero was quick to issue an alternative take on Saturday, after an up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at Manchester United lavished the highest of praise on Cristiano Ronaldo.

The name of hitman Ronaldo of course took its place front and centre in the headlines this evening, after the Portuguese’s latest starring display.

And one individual, in turn, who was quick to provide his reaction to CR7 guiding United to a crucial victory was Red Devils youngster Alejandro Garnacho.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the 17-year-old posted a photo of he and Ronaldo alongside one another, accompanied by the caption:

”Greatest of all times…”

This came after the Red Devils’ talisman was spotted handing his latest match ball to the club’s highly-regarded young winger on the Old Trafford pitch:

But, as alluded to above, another one-time Manchester-based goalscorer who was quick to challenge Garnacho’s viewpoint came in the form of none other than Sergio Aguero.

Taking to the comments section of the Spanish youth international’s post, Aguero, of course a close friend of Lionel Messi, responded:

‘Because you still didn’t play with the best, Leo Messi’

CR7 runs riot

Greatest of all Time debate aside, it of course proved another special day’s work for Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday.

The Portuguese was afforded his latest opportunity to lead the line, as Man United welcomed Premier League basement dwellers Norwich City to Old Trafford, eyeing a crucial return to winning ways.

And, when all was said and done, it was Ronaldo who stepped up in his side’s moment of need, bagging the 60th hat-trick of his storied career to guide Ralf Rangnick’s men to a 3-2 triumph:
