Chelsea faced off with Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues headed into the game as favourites and, after struggling to break Palace down, eventually came away with a 2-0 win on the day.

Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek bagged the goals to put Chelsea through to a final that sees them meet Liverpool at Wembley for the second time this year.

During the match, football.london have revealed why Jorginho shouted at Reece James.

James was operating as a right-sided centre-back across the 90 minutes and did an excellent job of neutralising Wilfried Zaha.

However, as per FL, it was James’ runs into midfield that caught the ire of Jorginho:

“Such is the self-confidence with which James is playing, there was even a point midway through the second period that he decided to play in midfield for a couple of minutes.

“That meant Jorginho covered for the defender out on the right of the back three, but it was clear the Italian wasn’t overly comfortable with that prospect and shouted hurridly at James to swap positions back so that he returned in more familiar territory.”

Can Chelsea save their season?

Should Chelsea win the FA Cup final, which Liverpool are the current favourites for, it would rescue what has been a fairly underwhelming season.

After a resurgence under Thomas Tuchel in the second half of 2021/22, the Blues were expected to kick on and challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the title this year.

However, that has not happened, and the west Londoners have also failed to defend their Champions League crown.
