Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has, on Friday, secured his latest piece of individual silverware.

The prize in question? The club’s Player of the Month accolade.

Wide-man Saka enjoyed a productive April from an individual standpoint., sitting out a combined total of just fifteen minutes across Arsenal’s five Premier League fixtures.

And, after the Gunners endured a nightmare run of three successive defeats, the England international too proved key in getting things back on track.

Goals against both Chelsea and Manchester United not only proved decisive in securing back-to-back three-point hauls, but also in guiding Mikel Arteta’s side back into pole position to clinch the Premier League’s final top-four berth.

It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Saka’s stellar efforts being recognised by the Arsenal faithful on Friday.

As per an announcement across the club’s social media platforms, the 20-year-old has beaten out competition from Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah, to secure his latest PFA Arsenal Player of the Month award.

Vivianne Miedema, meanwhile, bagged the women’s equivalent of the prize:

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Saka is of course expected to feature from the off once again this weekend, when Arsenal return to Premier League action.

Amid the club’s ongoing push for Champions League football, the Gunners are set to make the trip across London, for a derby showdown with David Moyes’ high-flying West Ham United.

As things stand, Arsenal sit 4th in the English top-flight, two points clear of arch rivals Tottenham, ahead of what is no doubt set to prove an altogether tense close to the campaign.
