An insight into who Tottenham could replace Antonio Conte with should he leave this summer has been provided.
Antonio Conte took charge of Tottenham following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this campaign.
The Italian had a rough start to life at Spurs but, up until their last two games, Conte did look to have got this Tottenham side firing on all cylinders.
The Lilywhites dispatched the likes of Leeds United, Newcastle United and Everton by impressive scorelines, moving into the top-four in the process.
However, whilst Conte has done a decent job at Spurs, it is clear there is still much work to be done.
This was evidenced in Tottenham’s last two league games which saw them loss to Brighton and draw to Brentford. In said matches, Spurs did not manage a single shot on target across 180 minutes.
Now, ahead of the summer, Conte’s future has been called into doubt after links to French outfit, PSG.
Tottenham eye Pochettino alternatives
The Telegraph report that Conte is on PSG’s list of targets to replace Pochettino, though there has been no direct contact between the two parties.
They add that Conte is concentrating on finishing the season as strongly as possible with Spurs before then holding talks with chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici at the end of the season.
Should Conte then decide to leave the north Londoners, Italy boss Roberto Mancini and Brighton’s Graham Potter are named as two alternative targets to Pochettino.
