Everton vs Chelsea betting tips: Premier League preview, predictions & odds

Chelsea head into the match on a pretty poor run of form. The Blues have won just two of their last five league outings, drawing their last tie with a poor Manchester United side.

Everton, meanwhile, need a win against the west Londoners if they are to have any real chance of avoiding relegation this season.

The Toffees started Sunday sat 18th in the Premier League, four points behind Leeds United and Burnley.

And whilst Everton do have two games in hand on said sides, their recent form suggests they will still struggle to close that four-point gap.

Why Kante is missing for Chelsea vs Everton

Ahead of the game, Chelsea released their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.

The squad was fairly strong, but did not include N’Golo Kante nor Andreas Christensen:

Thomas Tuchel has since offered an explanation for Kante’s absence, stating: “He went off at Old Trafford after 80 minutes and still has pain. It’s a minor injury. Hopefully he is back in the next match, but not today.”
