Manchester City have been handed a boost on the personnel front as a Real Madrid star is a doubt for the pair’s next meeting.

Madrid, meanwhile, were very much second best, but were still able to net three thanks to some moments of brilliance from Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema, as well as a mistake from Aymeric Laporte.

Real Madrid injury blow
In turn, an intriguing second leg is set to take place on Wednesday. However, Madrid are likely to have to play the match without a key defender.
David Alaba was taken off after 45 minutes of the first leg last week due to injury and has since missed Madrid’s following out with Espanyol, which they won 4-0 to clinch the La Liga title.
Now though, it is being reported that Alaba is almost certain to miss out on the City game this week:
