The latest word stemming from the media surrounding the future of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves has proven of an altogether encouraging nature for the midfielder’s Premier League suitors.

Portuguese international Neves is of course in the midst of another fine campaign to date.

Prior to picking up a long-term injury problem late in March, the 25-year-old had featured in all but two of Wolves’ Premier League fixtures, continuing to conduct proceedings with near-incomparable poise from his deep-lying midfield berth.

Not only that, but Neves’ contributions had proven telling further up the pitch, too, en route to four goals and two assists across his 27 starts to date.

And such efforts, in turn, have led to altogether inevitable speculation of late that Wolves’ star man has been added to the summer wishlists of a number of English football’s heavyweights.

Arsenal and Manchester United are understood to be particularly keen on his signature, desperate to add a proven high-level performer to their respective ranks in the middle of the park ahead of next season.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest speculation stemming from the media on Friday are anything to go by, then the Gunners and Red Devils alike look set to see their hopes of landing Neves imminently boosted.

As per a report from the Daily Mail, should Wolves sanction the sale of their star man this summer, then Neves has made it known that he wants to remain in England.

This comes despite Juventus and Barcelona both expressing an ongoing interest in the Portuguese’s talents.

Those in a position of power at Molineux, though, for their part, are only prepared to sanction Neves’ exit in the case that a bid of around £70 million is received.
