Arsenal’s supporter group Ashburton Army have revealed that a new chant will be unveiled ahead of the clash with Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners face a relegation-threatened Leeds side knowing that should they win and Tottenham lose to Liverpool this weekend, they will head into the north London derby 5 points clear of their rivals for fourth place and the final Champions League spot, with a win at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium guaranteeing their spot.

Leeds, however, will be no pushovers despite the absence of the influential Stuart Dallas. Jesse Marsch’s side know that they have been dragged back into a bottom-of-the-league dogfight following impressive results for Everton and Burnley in recent weeks, and face Arsenal and Chelsea in their next two games in desperate need of a result.

New chant to be unveiled

And, a song by local artist Louis Dunford is set to become a new Arsenal chant this weekend, the Arsenal fan group have revealed.

Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta told the press that he would like to hear it ring around the Emirates Stadium. ‘I have thousands of requests from our supporters to do something about it. We want to listen to them & do something. It’s great. Let’s give it a push if that that’s what they want to do’, the Spaniard said.

Now, it has emerged, the chorus will be played over the tannoy as the team huddle ahead of their clash with Leeds United, with fans encouraged to sing along to the north London themed lyrics.

The lyrics, for those interested, are:

North London forever,

Whatever the weather,

These streets are our own,

And my heart,

Will leave you never,

My blood will forever,

Run through the stone.
