Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media on Friday ahead of Liverpool’s next outing. Liverpool will, of course, take on Chelsea in the 2022 FA Cup final this coming Saturday at Wembley.

Ahead of the game, Klopp discussed a number of topics in his presser, including Fabinho, who was injured vs Aston Villa earlier this week.

And it is not great news for Liverpool as, though Fabinho will be back for the Champions League final, his involvement before that remains up in the air: “He will definitely be back for the Champions League final,” Klopp said.

“Before? We will see. Fab is a professional. He wasn’t happy about it but he’s taken it. He’s absolutely OK.”

Klopp also discussed facing Chelsea in the League Cup final earlier this year: “We won the shootout. I’ve said a few times without luck you have no chance and luck was on our side that day. We know how good Chelsea are. Both teams will go for it.”

Chelsea vs Liverpool

Liverpool head into the game, of course, looking to take one step closer to the quadruple.

And whilst winning the Premier League is now somewhat out of the Reds’ hands, they are still able to clinch what would be an impressive treble this term.

Liverpool have already won the League Cup, are favourites to win the FA Cup this weekend, and will then face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 28th.
