Italian side Juventus are reportedly close to signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Filip Kostic, ending Tottenham’s hopes of signing the Serbian this summer.

Spurs are on the verge of bringing Ivan Perisic to north London on a free transfer from Inter Milan, but reports suggested that they could also be in the market for another wingback in the shape of Kostic.

The Frankfurt man, who contributed 13 goals (4 goals and 9 assists) for the German side in the Bundesliga side this season, is out of contract next summer, and is thought to be on the move this summer.

And, reports claim that he could be available for as little as 15m euros, though no bids have come in for him as of yet.

Despite this, it is the Italian club who are thought to be closest to his signature.

Tottenham chase Spence

Meanwhile, Spurs are keen to join the race for Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence, who they believe can offer Conte’s side a much-needed option on the right-flank following the underwhelming performances of Emerson Royal.

The English defender spent last season on loan with Nottingham Forest, helping them to get promoted to the Premier League, and it is thought to be the midlands side that will provide the stiffest competition for the defender this summer.

Should Spurs be able to land Spence in addition to Perisic early in the transfer window, it would represent some very solid business from the north London side.
