Manchester City could be set for something of a clear out with as many as five senior players potentially leaving the club this summer.

According to the Mirror, Raheem Sterling is weighing up whether to run down his Manchester City contract so he can have his pick of clubs next summer.

Sterling will be 28 at the end of 2022/23 when his current deal expires – and there will be no shortage of takers if he becomes a free agent. Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all interested in taking the England winger back to London as he weighs up his options. Sterling has also previously suggested that he would like to play for Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

The Mirror add that Etihad bosses would prefer to cash in on Sterling this summer rather than lose him for nothing. And with a World Cup taking place later this year, Sterling will need to be somewhere he is a regular feature. Moreover, with Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez arriving this summer, the Englishman is expected to see less minutes in Manchester than he already has been, competing for a spot alongside Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are open to selling Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, both of whom have been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks.

Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan are two more players who will be out of contract next summer and Manchester City are open to selling them for the right price.
