Can Equatorial Guinea get their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign back on track?

On matchday one, the National Thunder began their campaign by being hammered 4-0 by Tunisia at Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi.

Of course, this is not the start Juan Micha was hoping for but, with the top two in each group reaching the finals, there’s still plenty to play for.

Equatorial Guinea reached the quarter-finals of AFCON earlier this year and just need to finish above Botswana and Libya to reach the next edition.

Thus, this game is vitally important after Libya began this group with three points.

Saleh Al Taher got the only goal last Wednesday in a 1-0 victory over Botswana at Martyrs of February Stadium.

The Mediterranean Knights have failed to qualify for each of the last five AFCONs but, a victory here would put them in a great positition.

The hosts though are favourites to win at Estadio de Malabo.
