Footage of on-loan Manchester United star Andreas Pereira finding the net in style has come to the fore online on Sunday.

Midfielder Pereira, of course, is currently in the midst of another temporary spell away from Old Trafford.

After failing to make the grade in Serie A with Lazio in 2020/21, the Brazilian sealed a fresh departure last summer, linking up with heavyweights Flamengo in his home country of Brazil.

And Pereira’s stint in Rio de Janeiro, all told, has since proven largely successful.

To this point, the versatile midfielder has racked up 27 league appearances, chipping in with six goals along the way.

And, as alluded to above, the latest of his strikes came in style, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Featuring from the off for Flamengo in the club’s latest Campeonato Brasileiro Série A outing, the Brazilian provided his struggling loan club with hope of a comeback, during a meeting with Internacional.

This came as Pereira arrived late to the edge of the hosts’ area, with a perfectly-timed run from deep.

From here, the 26-year-old was picked out by the surging Bruno Henrique, before directing a fine driven volley into the bottom corner of the Internacional net:

Pereira’s goal ultimately came en route to a Flamengo defeat, as an injury time strike on the part of Pedro Henrique ensured that Internacional emerged with a 3-1 triumph at the Estádio Beira-Rio.
