Crystal Palace transfer news

Player signed

First up, Crystal Palace would, of course, confirm on Sunday evening that they have secured the services of Malcolm Ebiowei.

The 18-year-old winger is set to join Patrick Vieira’s squad from 1st July, when his current contract with Derby ends, on a five-year deal.

Ebiowei featured 16 times in the Championship for Wayne Rooney’s Derby Count during the 2021/22 campaign.

Midfielder targeted

Next up, Crystal Palace appear to be in the market for a central midfielder.

GiveMeSport spoke to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay who expects Crystal Palace to complete a deal for RC Lens defensive midfielder, Cheick Doucoure:

“My gut feeling is that it probably gets done eventually, but it will take a bit of compromise on both sides, and we’re just waiting for that to happen,” he said. “You’ve got to remember that the transfer windows got so long to run, it’s only just opening, isn’t it, so there’s no rush.”

Lens could demand up to £26m for the midfielder, but that is a fee Palace consider too much.

Player could leave Crystal Palace

Finally, Tom Barclay also claimed that Jack Butland will probably leave Palace this summer: “I imagine if he can find a suitable destination, Jack Butland will probably leave this summer.

“I think he wants to be a number one again; he got a taste for it at times last season.
