Serie A giants Juventus have, on Thursday, confirmed the departures of no fewer than three members of the club’s first-team setup.

First up come a pair of free agent exits, after those in a position of power at the Allianz Stadium opted against extending the respective contracts of two important members of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.

The more high-profile comes in the form of Paulo Dybala, long known to have been set for pastures new ahead of the 2022/23 campaign:

And joining the Argentine in seeing his terms in Turin come to a close on Thursday is Federico Bernardeschi, primed to bid farewell to the Old Lady of Italian football on the back of an altogether underwhelming 5-year stint:

Last up, meanwhile, comes a player who was technically only on loan with Juve this past season, in the form of Alvaro Morata.

The widespread assumption was that, in the end, the Bianconeri would strike a deal with Atletico Madrid to make the Spanish international’s arrival a permanent one, on the back of a solid campaign in 2021/22.

Such an agreement, however, was evidently not forthcoming, with the Italian heavyweights, in turn, having bid a final farewell to Morata this afternoon:

The high-profile departures from Turin this summer, though, look unlikely to end there.

It is of course common knowledge that star defender Matthijs de Ligt is in the sights of Premier League powerhouse Chelsea, with the Dutchman too seemingly keen on the prospect of a move to Stamford Bridge.

Speaking late on Wednesday night, Juventus CEO Maurizio Arrivabene hinted at as much, albeit whilst reiterating that ‘all three parties have to be satisfied’:
