The Blues had a mixed 2022/23 campaign that was marred by injuries to some key players.

And whilst they have lost some top stars in the last month, Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel are still a force to be reckoned with.

With this in mind, 101 have taken a look at the best Chelsea players for your FPL team.

Reece James, defender (6.0m)

As mentioned above, Chelsea’s season derailed, in part, due to injuries to some big players, one of which was Reece James.

However, James should be fit for the start of the 2022/23 campaign and if he is able to replicate his form from the beginning of last season, he is an excellent pick and perhaps a cheaper alternative to someone like Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.5m).

Despite only featuring in 26 league games last term, James was able to net five goals and provide a very impressive nine assists for the west Londoners. Combined this with Chelsea’s impressive defence and James could be a real asset in the upcoming campaign.

Mason Mount, midfielder (8.0m)

Mason Mount at 8.0m could be a serious bargain on FPL this year. Despite spending big on Romelu Lukaku last summer, Chelsea looked to Mount to provide a lot of their goals last season.

The midfielder did not disappoint, scoring 11 and assisting 10 in 32 league outings last season.

And with Lukaku back at Inter Milan and Chelsea having signed no new attacker yet, it is expected that Mount will once again be one of Chelsea’s most prolific players in 2022/23.

Edouard Mendy, goalkeeper (5.0m)

A lot of FPL players chose to spend just 4.5m on their goalkeepers and there are some decent choices out there.

However, if you want a more consistent clean sheet return whilst still not spending that much, Mendy is your man.

The Senegalese star remains Chelsea’s no.1 and, despite Chelsea missing some key defenders for large parts of last campaign, Mendy still kept 14 clean sheets – a record only bettered by three other keepers, all of which are priced higher than Mendy.
