Cristiano Ronaldo has seen himself rejected by one of Europe’s top clubs as he tries to force a Manchester United exit.

Ronaldo, one year on from re-joining the Red Devils, appears to be eyeing an exit for the second time in his career.

Unlike the first time Ronaldo left United though, and had the pick of the sides, the 37-year-old is now finding it hard to garner any suitors at all.

It was reported by the Evening Standard that Chelsea were offered the Man United striker by his agent Jorge Mendes but Thomas Tuchel is said to be lukewarm on the prospect of signing an older attacker.

Now, according to ESPN, Ronaldo was offered to Paris Saint-Germain by his agent Jorge Mendes, but the French champions rejected the possibility of signing the Manchester United forward this summer.

The reason is said to be that PSG don’t feel that Ronaldo is the right signing for them at this moment and that the club doesn’t have enough space in their wage bill to pay the 37-year-old. Also, from a sporting perspective, there are also concerns that there isn’t room for him in the team with the current front three the Paris club currently have.

Should Ronaldo continue to fail to find a club, Manchester United may be forced to keep the Portuguese for another year.

And given Erik ten Hag has already showcased that he wants his side to play high energy, pressing football, Ronaldo is unlikely to fit in too well at Old Trafford in the forthcoming campaign.
