Dozens of African leaders and heads of state are meeting in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, for the continent’s first ever Climate Summit. Kenyan President, William Ruto, says the aim is to have a stronger and more united voice on environment issues affecting 1.3 billion Africans. It comes amid frustration among some that developed countries producing the worst emissions, are making unjust climate demands on pan-African policies. EU Commission President, Ursula Von der Leyen, has just been addressing the summit. FRANCE 24’s correspondant in Nairobi Olivia Bizot tells us more.
