FRANCE 24 spoke to Uganda’s main opposition leader, Robert Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine. The star musician-turned-politician called for « civil disobedience, a moral uprising, a revolution » in Uganda, which has been ruled for 38 years by President Yoweri Museveni. « I fear for my life because I know that the regime is bent on eliminating all kind of challenges, » said Wine, who was recently placed under house arrest and whose driver was shot dead in 2018. The next elections in Uganda are scheduled for 2026.
