Kai Havertz has been speaking about Chelsea teammate Reece James following the wing-back’s return to action this past weekend.
James had been sidelined since the end of December with a hamstring injury but made his first Premier League appearance since said injury on Saturday vs Burnley.
James played a key role in Chelsea’s 4-0 demolition of the Clarets, providing one goal and one assist.

Coincidentally, it was also the first time Chelsea had scored more than two goals in a league or Champions League match since James’ injury.
Of course, not all the credit can be given to James for the outing, but it is clear how important both he and the still-sidelined Ben Chilwell are to Thomas Tuchel’s system.
Now, as mentioned above, Kai Havertz has offered his verdict on James, stating:
“He’s a special player for us, a very important player for us,” Havertz told Chelsea’s in-house media. “He’s a full-back, but he also scores. He’s a great character and a very good player.”
Norwich vs Chelsea
Chelsea’s next outing is another Premier League clash and will see them face off with Norwich on Thursday.
The Blues head into the game having won three league games on the bounce. Chelsea are also currently five points above Arsenal, though the Gunners do have a game in hand.
However, with 5th-place Manchester United six points adrift of the Londoners having played two more games, it is probably safe to assume Chelsea’s chances of finishing in the top-four this year are very high.
Norwich, on the other hand, are 20th in the league and have won just four games all season whilst also scoring the fewest goals in the division (16).
