Mikel Arteta has been speaking to the press on Friday afternoon ahead of Arsenal’s next outing.
Arsenal will face off with Graham Potter’s Brighton at 3 pm on Saturday in a Premier League matchup.
When conducting his latest pre-match press conference, one of the main topics up for discussion was injury news.
This comes after Kieran Tierney missed the Gunners’ loss to Crystal Palace earlier in the week and is now expected to be out for the season, whilst Thomas Partey also picked up an issue vs Palace.
And, in a further blow to Arsenal, it is being reported that Partey may also be out for the remainder of 2021/22.
When asked about Partey on Friday, Arteta said: “He has a significant injury, he will be out for some weeks. It’s an area he had a previous injury and he felt it straight away.”

Arsenal vs Brighton
The recent spate of injury troubles has thrown Arsenal’s season into disarray.
The north Londoners looked a shoo-in for that final Champions League place just a few weeks ago. And whilst Arsenal can still return to 4th spot if they win their game in hand over Tottenham, it is hard to see them having a strong end to the campaign without two of their key men.
As a result, Arteta is no doubt desperate to get a much-needed three points on the board this weekend vs a Brighton side who are winless in five.
